Fine Arts and Graphic Design students at Indian Hills Community college will be exhibiting original artworks in a variety of mediums The Indian Hills art students are studying painting, drawing, 2-D Design, and ceramics in pursuit of associate degrees and professional certifications. The work displayed will include class assignments as well as recent artwork that students have completed independently. “The students here at Indian Hills are very talented and hard working” says Harriet Burbeck, instructor of Art and Graphic Design at Indian Hills Community College. “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to share their work with a wider audience at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center through the FAA organization.”
Indian Hills students come from all over Southeast Iowa, and the college also has a large population of students from other parts of the United States, as well as international students. Students are drawn to Indian Hills Community College because of the high-quality academic programs that prepare students for degrees at four year colleges, the hands-on programs that give students the skills to enter the workforce right after graduation, and the athletic programs. This diversity of interests and backgrounds represented by these students will be evident in this exhibit. Questions about this exhibit can be directed to Lisa Fritz at 641-683-5111 ext. 1816 or Harriet Burbeck at harriet.burbeck@indianhills.edu.
