FCSD’s Pence Elementary Named Leader in Me Lighthouse School
The Fairfield Community School District’s Pence Elementary has been named a Leader in Me Lighthouse School.
The lighthouse designation is awarded to schools that demonstrate measurable results in academic achievement, positive school culture, and leadership development.
To earn Lighthouse status, schools must implement the Leader in Me framework and undergo an evaluation process.
At Pence Elementary, students take ownership of their learning, set goals, and build leadership skills that extend beyond the classroom. Staff members integrate leadership habits into daily instruction, helping maintain a supportive learning environment.
“This recognition reflects the hard work and perseverance of our students and staff,” said Principal Angela Jones. “We are proud to maintain a culture in which every student is encouraged to lead, grow, and reach their full potential.”
