Fairfield Chamber Hosts Legislative Forum: A Platform for Civic Engagement
The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the upcoming Legislative Forum, an event that connects citizens with their elected representatives to foster open dialogue and civic engagement.
The forum will take place on Saturday, January 18 at the Fairfield Arts and Convention center. Doors open at 7:00am with the event beginning at 7:30am. This is a unique opportunity for Fairfield residents to hear directly from state legislators about their work at the Capitol, legislative priorities, and issues impacting the local community. Attendees will also have the chance to ask questions during a public Q&A session.
"The Legislative Forum is a cornerstone of the Chamber's mission to promote civic involvement and informed dialogue," said Mendy McAdams, Executive Director of the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce. "This event provides an invaluable platform for our community to engage with lawmakers and understand the decisions shaping our future."
The topics for January will be taxes and education. Senator Adrian Dickey and Representatives Helena Hayes and Jeff Shipley will give residents an update on what is currently happening at the capital. With this first forum being in January, the legislators will be just getting started.
