Chamber Singers Celebrate 35 Years with “Still We Rise!”

The Chamber Singers of Southeast Iowa will present their spring concert, “Still We Rise!” on Saturday and Sunday, May 30 and 31, at 7:30 p.m. in the Golden Magnolia Sanctuary, 200 South Main Street in Fairfield.

This spring’s concert celebrates the joy of life—of nature’s beauty and the power of love and resilience in rising above change and challenges. Songs range from rousing African rhythms to lyrical Romantic polyphony, from deep reflections on love to exuberant praise of nature—seas, meadows, light, and music. In this way each song awakens a different aspect of that universal song of life that surrounds and fills us every day.
