Blast Off into Summer with the 2026 Chamber Golf Tournaments!

posted on 5/22/26

The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce gearing up for one of the community’s favorite summer traditions — the 2026 Blast Off Golf Tournaments, proudly presented by MidWestOne Bank. This annual event brings together local businesses, community members, and golf enthusiasts for a high-energy day of connection, competition, and community celebration.

This year’s festivities begin on Thursday, June 4, at the Fairfield Golf & Country Club. The evening event serves as the official kickoff to tournament weekend and offers golfers and an opportunity to network and enjoy a relaxed summer evening together. This fun evening will be from 6:00 pm to 8:30pm with food available from 6:00 pm to 7:30pm. Fun games, a hot dog bar and get your team registered that night. Save some time on the tournament morning.

Tournament play takes place on Friday, June 5, with both the Chamber’s Blast Off Golf Tournament teeing off at 8:30 a.m. following registration at 7:30 a.m. The Men’s Tournament will be held at Fairfield Golf & Country Club, while the Women’s Tournament returns to Walton Club. Both tournaments feature an 18-hole best ball format designed for players of all experience levels.

New this year, the tournament will utilize the Squabbit Golf Tournament App for live scoring and tournament tracking throughout the day. All teams are encouraged to download the Squabbit app and complete registration prior to tournament day to ensure a smooth and efficient scoring experience.

“We’re excited to see so many teams already signing up and the enthusiasm building for another fantastic year of Blast Off,” said Davis Lowenberg, First MainStreet Insurance and Chair of the Blast Off Committee. “This tournament is always a great opportunity for businesses and community members to connect, have fun, and kick off the summer season together.”

Golfers can expect a full day of entertainment on the course, including specialty hole games, prize opportunities, raffles, and friendly competition. Contest highlights include Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt, the Dice Game, and the Hole-in-One Challenge on the men’s course. Participants will also compete for Chamber Bucks and additional prizes throughout the day.

Lunch during the tournament is generously sponsored by the Fairfield Manufacturer’s Association, with beverages provided by Roth and Norton Family Dentistry.

Registration is $125 per golfer with teams consisting of four players. Tournament registration includes 18 holes of golf, food and beverages, tournament games and prizes, and admission to a free hot dog bar at event on Thursday evening. Golf carts are available for rent at $50 each, with reservations limited to the first 30 carts booked.

Adding even more excitement this year, the Chamber’s online auction opens to the public at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 22. Community members do not need to participate in the tournament to bid. Auction packages include travel experiences, sporting event tickets, golf outings, entertainment packages, advertising opportunities, jewelry, family attractions, and more — all while supporting Chamber programming and local business initiatives.

Anyone can bid and win — you do not need to be a golfer or event participant to take part.

Featured auction items include:

  • A staycation casino getaway package
  • A golf package from Blue Top Ridge Golf Course
  • Indiana Fever tickets with hotel accommodations
  • Passes to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

  • UNI Panthers football tickets
  • A cabin getaway at Jefferson County Park
  • Iowa Wild hockey tickets
  • Jewelry from Americus Diamond

Businesses and organizations still have time to participate through sponsorship opportunities, team registration, prize donations, and branded swag bag items. Sponsors receive valuable visibility before and during the tournaments while supporting one of the Chamber’s largest annual networking events.

Whether participating on the course, networking at Business After Hours, or bidding in the online auction, the 2026 Blast Off Golf Tournaments promise an exciting kickoff to the summer season and a meaningful opportunity to support the local business community.
