AHEAD Regional Housing Trust Fund Owner-Occupied Home Repair Program
Ottumwa, IA – (January 6, 2025) - The AHEAD Regional Housing Trust Fund is announcing that applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program. This program is designed to help homeowners make necessary repairs to their homes, ensuring safe and healthy living conditions. The funds can be used for a range of essential repairs and improvements, including:
- Roof repairs or replacements
- Furnace or heating system repairs or replacements
- Plumbing and electrical repairs or upgrades
- Accessibility improvements for seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Insulation and weatherization work
This program offers 0-2% low interest loans to homeowners for necessary home repairs.
Homeowners may borrow up to $12,000 for eligible repairs.
Homeowners must meet income guidelines and occupy the home as their primary residence.

Homeowners must complete an application form and submit documentation such as income verification, proof of home insurance, and details about the repairs needed.
