Rainy Start, Remarkable Finish: Fairfield Celebrates a Successful Blast Off Golf Tournament

posted on 6/22/26

The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce extends its deepest gratitude to the many sponsors, players, volunteers, and partners who made the 2026 Blast Off Golf Tournament, held on June 5th, an outstanding success.

Despite a rainy start and a brief delay, the day quickly turned into a memorable celebration of community, connection, and camaraderie across both host courses. The Fairfield Golf & Country Club welcomed 20 teams for the men’s tournament, while The Walton Club hosted an enthusiastic field of 11 teams for the women’s tournament. From the first tee shot to the final putt, the event reflected the strength and generosity of the Fairfield business community.

“We are incredibly thankful,” said Mendy McAdams, Chamber Director. “Events like this don’t happen without people showing up, pitching in, and believing in what we do. This community continues to show up in the best ways.”

Adding a perspective from the committee, Davis Lowenberg of First MainStreet Insurance, who served as Tournament Committee Chair, shared, “Even with the weather delay, the energy and support from our community never wavered. It’s incredibly rewarding to see so many businesses and individuals come together, not just for a great day of golf, but to invest in the continued growth and success of Fairfield.”

The women’s tournament featured a standout wine pull, generously supported by Financial Integrators and Vino Del Mundo, adding an extra layer of fun and excitement to the day. Golfers across both courses enjoyed great company, friendly competition, and a shared sense of purpose—supporting Chamber initiatives that strengthen the local economy.

Adding to the excitement of the tournament, the silent calcutta proved to be a great success, with three participants ultimately sharing in the winnings—another example of the fun and engagement that defined the day.

The Chamber also extends special thanks to the Fairfield Golf & Country Club for hosting a lively and well-attended Par-Tee the evening before the tournament. The event set the tone for a fantastic tournament experience and provided a wonderful opportunity for participants to connect ahead of the big day.
